Thanos is coming. The big bad that is behind the scenes of every Marvel movie since The Avengers is finally about to make his grand appearance in all his Mad Titan glory. Sure, you’ve seen him before, but you’ve yet to see him in action. The last time we saw him, he had picked up the Infinity Gauntlet and said “Fine, I’ll do it myself.” The "it" Thanos is referring to -> the most powerful force in the MCU. He's looking for six infinity stones.
As we get closer and closer to the arrival of Avengers: Infinity War, we are still looking for a couple of the Infinity Stones. We have 5 movies to find these stones. Let’s start investigating.

Prime Suspects on the Trail for the Final Infinity Stones
Doctor Strange
Doctor Strange is our first suspect in the hunt for the two final Infinity Stones. Time and again, Marvel has hidden the Infinity Stones in plain sight. Keep a close watch on the Eye Of Agamotto. In the comics, the Eye allows Doctor Strange to see into the distant past and to put people into a state of suspended animation. Because of these powers, you can bet the the Eye of Agamotto is the Time Stone. Benedict Cumberbatch is recently confirmed for Infinity War. Having the Time Stone is a perfect reason for him to be in Avengers: Infinity War.
Who will Doctor Strange be fighting next month? All signs point to Dormammu. Dormammu is a dark god who rules his own dimension. He wants to take over our dimension, too. He is Doctor Strange’s nemesis in the comics. Dormammu has connections to the Ancient One and Mordo in the Marvel Comics, and those characters have already been confirmed in the movie. If Dormammu appears in Doctor Strange, perhaps Thanos is pulling the strings behind the conflict Doctor Strange just like he was pulling the strings in Guardians Of The Galaxy.
Thor: Ragnarok
Thor: Ragnarok is where we will see the Soul Stone. It is also set two films before Infinity War and comes out only 6 months before the third Avengers film. Thor has already had a vision and knows about all of the Infinity Stones. You can bet that Thor is going to be hard at work trying to track down the Infinity Stones. All the Stones have cosmic origins and Ragnarok is a cosmic movie. We cannot even begin to guess what object might be the Soul Stone, but it is almost a certainty that the Soul Stone will appear here in Thor: Ragnarok. The appearance of the Soul Stone gives Thor and Hulk a reason to return to Earth for the events of the Infinity War.
Leaving No Stone Unturned in our Search
Black Panther
This doesn’t really feel like it is a movie that will get super mystical. It is the last MCU movie before Avengers: Infinity War. If we don’t see the Time and Soul Stones before Black Panther, you know we will see it here. But, let’s face it, Black Panther just doesn’t feel like a movie where T’Challa is going to be chasing after one of the Infinity Stones. It feels a little more grounded in the real world, in the same fashion as the Iron Man and Captain America franchises. The Avengers are broken up at the end of Civil War. Team Rogers was in prison on The Raft. Will they make an appearance to help T’Challa as the Secret Avengers? Black Panther will likely focus on the continuing friction between Team Stark and Team Rogers (Avengers vs Secret Avengers?) and how T’Challa is caught in the middle. But Wakanda has been safe harbor for a lot of secrets in the MCU.

Suspects That Don’t Check Out, right?
Spider-man: Homecoming
You wouldn’t expect one of the most powerful objects in the Universe to be found in a high school in Queens, right? All indications are that the next Spidey film will have a tone similar to Ant-man. Parker has gone back to being a 15 year old so you can expect a lot of high school scenes and issues in the film.
This doesn’t feel like a place to find one of the Infinity stones. Concept art already shows that Spider-man will be fighting Vulture. Don’t rule out Vulture being connected to other villains, though. hat always could include Thanos, but we doubt it will involve an Infinity Stone.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
Guardians of the Galaxy featured Thanos in his most prominent role yet. So why isn’t Guardians 2 at the top of the list? With Kurt Russell reportedly appearing as Star Lord’s father in Volume 2, Guardians 2 is reported to revolve around Star Lord’s past and his father. Nebula is coming back as well. Peter Gunn confirmed that Thanos will not be in the sequel. No Thanos, no new Infinity Stones. If the Guardians are going to be in the Infinity War, Adam Warlock is most likely to make his way into the MCU. Guardians 2?. Adam Warlock was a HUGE Easter Egg in Guardians 1.
